A customized training plan is developed between the client and the Client Manager. While many aspects of training are district specific, a typical plan includes numerous days of on-site training whereby key district personnel are guided through a Train-the-Trainer model. Additional training methods include webinars, use of Thinkgate University, and additional (purchased) on-site training.
Thinkgate provides for professional development in a variety of formats. The first and most crucial is the initial training conducted as part of the implementation process. Other professional development formats include the use of Quick Start Guides (QSG) that are available within the Reference Center of Elements™. These provide step-by-step instructions for specific functions of the system. Additionally, Thinkgate University allows training to occur anytime and anyplace, provided an internet connection is available. Each module ties directly to a specific function within Elements™ and can be viewed in three learning modalities: read only, video or interactive. Future plans include evaluating the ability for users to enroll and complete courses within Elements™. Finally, additional on-site training days or webinars can be requested for a fee to promote professional development within the LEA.
